Russian EV registrations up 33% in 2022

Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in Russia increased in 2022, despite a big fall in the domestic car market, data from the Russian analytical agency Autostat shows.
Russia’s new EV registrations were up by 33% on-year to 2,998 units, Kallanish notes. In December alone, Russians purchased 324 new EVs, which is 32.3% more than a year ago.
According to the agency's analysts, this is a record figure in the entire history of the Russian market.
