Rivian puts JV plans with Mercedes-Benz Vans on hold
US electric vehicle start-up Rivian says it’s putting on hold its plan to build an electric van joint venture with Mercedes-Benz to focus on its current business, Kallanish reports.
The companies had signed an MOU in September to jointly produce electric vans in Europe – in Poland, Hungary, or Romania. These discussions have now been paused, Rivian’s ceo RJ Scaringe said in a statement on Monday.
