Rivian prioritises ramp-up to meet 2022 production target
US electric vehicle maker Rivian says its top priority is to ramp up production at its Normal plant in Illinois to meet its 25,000-vehicle production target for 2022, Kallanish reports.
The company manufactured 2,553 BEVs in Q1 2022, which is more than double the volume produced in full year 2021. Since starting production in September 2021, Rivian has built roughly 5,000 vehicles in two platforms (R1 and EDV).
