Queensland Pacific Metals seals nickel ore deal with MKM
Australian miner Queensland Pacific Metals (QPM) has entered into a binding ore supply agreement with New Caledonian mining company Maï Kouaoua Mines (MKM) for up to 300,000 wet metric tonne (wmt) per year.
The ten-year ore supply agreement is indicatively commencing in 2024. There is six-month notice period required by QPM ahead of first cargo, Kallanish notes. Pricing will be linked to benchmark nickel and cobalt prices on an fob basis.
