Port Hedland’s spodumene concentrate exports up 59% in September
Exports of Australia’s spodumene concentrate out of the Port of Hedland, in Western Australia, rose 59% on-year in September, Kallanish reports.
According to the latest data from the Pilbara Ports Authority, Australian miners shipped 98,921 tonnes of the lithium concentrate to Chinese processors in three cargoes. In September 2021, the port registered exports of 62,230 t in three cargoes to China (59,041 t) and one shipment to South Korea (3,189 t).
