Plug Power installs PEM electrolyser at Amazon facility
New York-based hydrogen solutions company Plug Power has installed and commissioned an electrolyser system at an Amazon fulfilment centre in Aurora, Colorado.
The 1-megawatt proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser will produce low-carbon hydrogen that will fuel more than 225 on-site fuel cell-powered forklift trucks. Its installation makes the Aurora centre the first Amazon site to be equipped with an electrolyser system.
