Australia’s Pilbara Minerals announced on Wednesday a final investment decision for an expansion project to increase its Pilgangoora production to 1 million tonnes/year, Kallanish reports.
The so-called P1000 project will boost the company’s spodumene concentrate production by around 47%, from the 680,000 t/y capacity targeted by the ongoing P680 expansion. Current output stands at 580,000 t/y.
