Panasonic revises net profit forecast, optimistic on auto demand
Japanese conglomerate Panasonic said on Tuesday it has revised its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending 31 March by 50% to 150 billion yen ($1.43 billion). The battery cell manufacturer is optimistic on demand from electric vehicles, Kallanish reports.
The company didn’t provide a profit breakdown forecast by its businesses units, but said that its automotive sales in the third quarter of fiscal 2021 declined 14% year-on-year to 960.4 billion yen.…
