Overseas battery installed capacity exceeds that of China in Q1
Global power battery installed capacity rose 38.6% on-year during the first quarter of 2023 to reach 133 gigawatt-hours, Kallanish learns from SNE Research.
The capacity in China totalled 65.9 GWh, while overseas markets accounted for the remainder 67.1 GWh. This is the first time in recent years that the overseas installed capacity exceeds that of the Chinese market, according to the South Korean consultancy.
