Ovako to develop fossil-free hydrogen to heat steel
Ovako has announced it is partnering with a number of players in Sweden and Norway to launch Sweden's largest fossil-free hydrogen facility in Hofors.
"The new hydrogen plant in Hofors will make Ovako the first in the world to heat steel with hydrogen prior to rolling, and is the next major step towards climate-neutral steel production," the company says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
