NIO may establish cylindrical cell factory in Hefei, Anhui Province
Chinese new energy vehicle company NIO plans to establish a new battery factory in Hefei City, Anhui Province, to produce its self-developed big cylindrical cells, according to sources of Cailianshe.
The sources disclosed that the planned production capacity of this factory is about 4 billion gigawatt-hours. The big cylindrical batteries will be mainly 4680 and 4695 and will be similar to those Tesla released earlier.
