Nidec moves up Serbian battery plant construction schedule
Japan’s Nidec now plans to open its new 200 billion yen ($1.9 billion) battery plant in Serbia in mid-2022, instead of the originally planned 2023, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
The plant in Novi Sad will have an annual production capacity of 200,000-300,000 batteries/year.
The 2022 completion date was originally announced in local media in December.
