Russian miner Nornickel increased production in the first quarter after it restored last year full capacity at its damaged Oktyabrsky and Taimyrsky mines, as well as at the Norilsk Concentrat.
Total nickel output in Q1 was more by 10% on-year to 55,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes. Consolidated copper production in January-March was flat on-year to 91,000 t.
