NICKEL, COBALT: Jervois makes first tranche on Brazil refinery
Australian-based Jervois Mining Ltd advises that it has made the first tranche payment of BRL 15 million ($2.9m) to acquire the Sao Miguel Paulista nickel-cobalt refinery in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Kallanish reports.
Following the payment, Jervois and Companhia Brasileira de Aluminio (CBA), a subsidiary of Votorantim SA, entered into an initial lease agreement giving Jervois access to undertake a feasibility study for the refinery’s restart.
