New BLM legal review backs Lithium America's Thacker Pass project
The US Department of the Interior has removed one of the major remaining obstacles to Lithium America proceeding with its Thacker Pass lithium project in northwest Nevada, Kallanish reports.
The agency, through a solicitor’s legal opinion, says the project’s site has mineralisation on nearly the entire acreage and that allows the company to put wastes and tailings on the federally owned land under federal mining law.
