Motorbike manufacturers form battery swapping consortium
Global leading motorcycle manufacturers Honda Motor Co, KTM F&E (PIERER Mobility), Piaggio Group and Yamaha Motor Co have formed a consortium for battery swapping.
The companies officialised the Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium (SBMC) in Europe earlier this week, vowing to promote the widespread use of light electric vehicles in the transport sector. These low-voltage vehicles include mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, tricycles and quadricycles.
