Mercedes-Benz’s BEV deliveries up 90% in Q2
Mercedes-Benz said Monday its battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales rose 90% in Q2, compared with an overall delivery decline of 16% due to semiconductor shortages and logistical bottlenecks.
A total of 23,500 BEVs were sold in the April-June period, Kallanish learns. Adding plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and BEVs from its brand Smart to the mix, deliveries reached 65,400 units – which is up 2% year-on-year.
