Mercedes-Benz to source German lithium hydroxide from Rock Tech
Mercedes-Benz signed on Thursday a five-year supply agreement for battery-grade lithium hydroxide from Canadian start-up Rock Tech Lithium, Kallanish reports.
Under the deal inked in Sindelfingen, Germany, Rock Tech will supply the carmaker with an initial 10,000 tonnes/year of lithium hydroxide produced at Rock Tech’s converter in Guben, Germany. Deliveries will start in 2026 on a qualification basis, with commercial supplies to follow.
