Mercedes-Benz starts key parts manufacturing ahead of e-truck mass production
Mercedes-Benz commenced on 4 October production of key components for its first series-produced all-electric eActros truck in Germany, Kallanish reports.
Plants in Mannheim, Kassel and Gaggenau started assembling battery packs, electric axles and associated transmission components, respectively. On 7 October, the electric truck will roll off the assembly line in Wörth am Rhein, Mercedes-Benz says in a note.
