Mercedes-Benz Vans, Rivian to produce electric vans in Europe
Mercedes-Benz Vans and Rivian said Thursday they are joining forces to scale up production of large electric vans through a joint venture in Europe, Kallanish reports.
The companies signed a MOU to jointly produce all-electric vans in a dedicated plant in Central/Eastern Europe. They envisage production-optimised vehicle designs for efficient manufacturing on common assembly lines, starting “in a few years.”
