Mazda, Panasonic to start battery partnership negotiations

Japanese companies Mazda and Panasonic Energy said on Wednesday they are studying a medium- to long-term battery supply partnership, Kallanish reports. Discussions will involve Panasonic Energy supplying automotive cylindrical lithium-ion batteries made both in Japan and North America to Mazda.
