Magna Steyr to help develop Volkswagen’s Scout EVs: report
Automotive manufacturer Magna Steyr has reportedly been tapped by Volkswagen to help develop two EV models for its US’ Scout Motors brand.
According to the Austrian media outlet Kleine Zeitung, the deal is worth €450 million ($492m) and represents Magna’s largest development contract yet. The report alleges that Magna will develop both an electric pickup truck and an SUV model for Scout, with series production expected by the end of 2026.
