Lithion Technologies builds black mass plant in Canada
Montreal-based Lithion Technologies has completed the construction of its first plant to turn lithium-ion batteries into black mass in St-Bruno-de-Montarville, Canada.
The company claims it is the first such facility in the northeast region of North America. The plant now in the commissioning phase, has a team of 20 workers and will employ a total of 60 people when it reaches full capacity of 20,000 tonnes of batteries per year.
