Liontown inks $250m funding, offtake deal with LGES

Australia-listed lithium developer Liontown Resources has secured $250 million in funding and an extended offtake deal for its Kathleen Valley lithium project from South Korean battery giant LG Energy Solution (LGES). The companies announced Tuesday a five-year convertible note subscription agreement at a conversion price of AUD 1.80 ($1.2) per share, with a coupon linked to the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR).
