LGES-Honda US battery JV reaches construction milestone
LG Energy Solution and Honda say their US battery joint venture has reached a new construction milestone toward completion by year-end, Kallanish reports.
The 2-million-square-foot facility is being constructed near Jeffersonville, Ohio. With the final structural steel beam erected, the JV partners believe works are on target to enable mass production late next year. The overall investment is estimated at $4.4 billion.
