KORE Power closes on Arizona land purchase for gigafactory
KORE Power says it has finalised its purchase of 214 acres in Buckeye, Arizona, that will be the site of its KOREPlex Gigafactory, and the acquisition has closed, Kallanish reports.
The facility, now with 2 million square feet of planned space, will have the capacity to produce 12 gigawatt-hours of lithium-ion battery cells production annually. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with commercial operations to begin in 2024.
