JLR to electrify UK Halewood plant in £15 billion electrification push
British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed its Halewood plant in the UK will become an all-electric facility under a £15 billion ($18.67 billion) investment plan over the next five years, Kallanish reports.
The manufacturing facility in Merseyside, northwest England, will produce BEVs based on a next generation medium-size SUV architecture known as EMA. Production will start with Range Rover’s first all-electric model, launching in 2025.
