Italvolt to build Europe's largest gigafactory
Italvolt will build the first - and largest - gigafactory in Italy. With an initial capacity of 45 gigawatt-hours, the factory will be the largest in Europe. The company plans to eventually increase output to 70GWh.
In a note seen by Kallanish, Italvolt says that the overall cost of the project is €4 billion ($4.8 billion), and the first phase will be completed by spring 2024. Due diligence on a few selected locations of the plant is on-going, Italvolt says.
