Italian rechargeable car sales rise at lower pace in July
Italian battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales increased 14.4% year-on-year in July to 4,091 units, while plug-in hybrids (PHEV) new registrations rose 7.9% to 5,283 units.
According to data from local automaker association Anfia, sales for the two powertrains combined increased by 10.6% on-year to 9,374 units, Kallanish reports. Their combined market penetration rose slightly from 7.7% in July 2022 to 7.9% last month.
