Italian collaboration to build hydrogen battery
Italian Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) is teaming up with Green Energy Storage (GES) to develop a cost-competitive new generation of hydrogen batteries and storage energy systems in the region of Trentino, northern Italy. The project has been awarded €59 million ($60m) under the European Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) Battery 2 funding tool, Kallanish notes.
