Iberdrola, bp JV to invest €1 billion in EV charging
Spanish utility Iberdrola said Thursday its planned joint venture with bp will invest €1 billion ($1.06 billion) in electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Spain and Portugal, Kallanish reports.
The companies intend to deploy 11,700 fast and ultra-fast charging points in the Iberian Peninsula region by 2030. The first target is to open 5,000 charging points by 2025.
