Hyundai’s US EV sales up 77% y-o-y in January
Hyundai Motor America says its electric vehicle sales, which combines both all-electric and plug-in hybrid electric cars, grew by 77% year-on-year in January.
Without providing figures for the sales, the carmaker notes particular growth came from the delivery of two PHEV models – the Santa Fe and the Tucson. While sales on the Santa Fe PHEV surged by 273%, Tucson PHEV sales skyrocketed by 927%.
