Hyundai to construct its first South Korean EV-exclusive plant
South Korean carmaker Hyundai and its union recently reached an initial agreement on launching a new factory in South Korea. This factory will be specifically designed for electric vehicle production.
So far, only the rough schedule for this project is available. The construction is expected to start in 2023 and end by 2025. The exact production capacity goals and detailed factory location haven't yet been disclosed, Kallanish learns.
