Hyundai pumps $100m in battery start-up SES
South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor Company is said to have joined GM, Tianqi Lithium, SK Inc. and Shanghai Auto as investors in start-up lithium-metal battery company SES.
The Singapore-based firm is a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and formerly known as SolidEnergy Systems, Kallanish notes.
