Hyundai, LG plan battery leasing, reuse project in South Korea
Several South Korean firms and the country’s ministry of trade, industry and energy (METI) have signed an initial agreement to launch a battery leasing and reuse business, Kallanish reports.
Hyundai Motor, Hyundai Glovis, LG Energy Solution and KST Mobility are seeking to combine electric vehicles sales with battery leasing and reuse, ultimately aiming to boost EV take-up in the country.
