GRAPHITE: Northern Graphite closes on mine acquisition
Canada-based Northern Graphite says it has completed its acquisition of the producing Lac des Iles graphite mine and mill in Quebec and the idled Okanjande graphite project/Okorusu processing plant in Namibia, Kallanish reports.
Closing the deal will make Northern Graphite the third-largest non-Chinese natural graphite production company with an additional 40,000-50,000 tonnes/year of graphite concentrate production capacity.
