GRAPHITE: NextSource Materials, partners to build battery anode plant
Canada-based NextSource Materials has secured partnerships with major players in the electric vehicle supply chain in Japan and China to build a new battery anode facility, Kallanish reports.
The plant, expected to be operational in fourth quarter 2022, will produce spheronised and purified graphite for EVs and hybrid vehicles. Sites being considered for the plant include South Africa, Europe and North America with the plant to be located near key demand markets.
