GM picks Samsung SDI for fourth US gigafactory
General Motors is reportedly due to sign an MOU with South Korea’s Samsung SDI to build a KRW 5 trillion ($3.8 billion) battery gigafactory in the US.
South Korean reports citing “industry sources in Seoul” said on Friday the companies are planning the signing for 8 March in Michigan. Final details such as site location and capacity are yet to be defined, they claim.
