GM Canada plans EV production in Ontario
GM Canada will begin producing electric vehicles at its CAMI Assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, at the end of this year, Kallanish learns from the automaker.
GM Canada plans to spend more than CAD 2 billion ($1.6 billion) to transform its Ingersoll and Oshawa manufacturing facilities. The company is receiving CAD 259 million in funding from the government of Canada to help advance the electrification of the country’s automotive sector.
