Global EV battery usage increases 41.8%: SNE Research
The global deployment of batteries in electric vehicles increased 41.8% on-year during January-November 2023 to 624.4 gigawatt-hours, Kallanish learns from South Korean institute SNE Research.
In the 11 months, usage of CATL’s batteries reached 233.4 GWh, an on-year increase of 48.3%, the data shows. The Chinese manufacturer maintained its top position in this ranking with a global market share of 37.4%, up 1.7 percentage points on-year.
