Gigafactory downtime influences Tesla’s Q3 production, deliveries
Tesla says its target to sell 1.8 million electric vehicles this year remains unchanged, despite lower-than-anticipated production in Q3, Kallanish learns from the company.
The US EV manufacturer produced over 430,488 units and delivered 435,059 vehicles, according to its latest update. Production declined in Q3 following planned downtime at its Texas gigafactory for production line upgrades. When compared to Q2, the factory closure reduced output by 9.8%.
