Geely to build 42 GWh battery plant in Ganzhou
Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group unveiled on Monday plans to build a 42 gigawatt-hour battery manufacturing plant in Ganzhou, in China’s Jiangxi Province, Kallanish reports.
The announcement, made via Geely Technology Group, sets a total investment tag of 30 billion yuan ($4.6 billion). The initial plant capacity of the multi-phase project is estimated at 12 GWh/year. The company didn’t disclose the timeline for the project.
