Fortescue secures €200m EU grant for Norwegian H2 project
Australia-based Fortescue has secured €200 million ($219.3m) from the European Union for its flagship green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Norway.
Located 8 kilometres west of Svelgen, the planned Holmaneset project aims to leverage the surplus renewable energy from the Norwegian transmission grid to ship the green ammonia to both domestic and European markets.
