Ford picks LGES, Koç for Turkish battery plant
US automaker Ford, South Korean battery producer LG Energy Solution and Turkish industrial firm Koç Holding are partnering on a new 25 gigwatt-hour battery facility near Ankara, Turkey, Kallanish learns from a Ford statement.
The facility is slated to come online in 2026 with the capability to expand to 45 GWh, according to the non-binding memorandum inked between the three companies.
