Ford, ioneer sign lithium offtake agreement from Rhyolite Ridge mine
Australia-based ioneer Ltd says it has signed a binding offtake agreement to provide Ford Motor Co with up to 34% of the lithium from its developing Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron mine in Nevada, Kallanish reports.
The five-year agreement calls for a total of 7,000 tonnes/year of lithium carbonate from Rhyolite Ridge to go to Ford, starting in 2025, for lithium-ion batteries in its BlueOval SK joint venture. That will represent 34% of annual production in the projec…
