First Quantum begins arbitration over Cobre Panama copper mine
First Quantum Minerals, a Canadian mining company, has initiated international arbitration against the government of Panama, Kallanish reports.
The action comes days after Panama’s Supreme Court ruled that First Quantum’s Cobre Panama mining agreement is unconstitutional, despite its government inking the 20-year deal in October.
