Fincantieri orders fuel cell for first H2 vessel
Italian firm Fincantieri has placed an order with German fuel cell specialist Proton Motor for a 142-kilowatt fuel cell system called HyShip 72. The technology will power the shipbuilder’s new hydrogen vessel called Zero Emission Ultimate Ship (ZEUS).
The technology producing clean power onboard will combine fuel cells with a battery and hydrogen storage.
