Fincantieri bags fuel cell ships order
Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri will build four fuel cell cruise ships for Finland’s Viking. Viking has also ordered two more ships, but this is subject to access to financing, Kallanish learns from Fincantieri.
Viking will be investing approximately €1.7 billion ($1.72 billion) for the four units for delivery between 2026 and 2028.
