EVs continue to drive growth in UK car market
Sales of electrified vehicles continue to steal the show in the UK new car market, accounting for over 70% of the overall car sales increase in January, Kallanish reports.
Data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) shows almost one in three new cars joining British roads last month was electrified. Removing the mild hybrid vehicles (HEVs), which aren’t electrically chargeable, one in five buyers in January went electric.
