EV's ‘true’ potential depends on clean energy supply: Volvo Cars
Volvo Cars on Tuesday urged world leaders and energy providers to clean up the power grid, so that “true” electric vehicle potential can be realised, Kallanish reports.
The Swedish carmaker highlights that the environmentally-friendly EVs require zero-emission electricity to be made and to be run. Otherwise, its climate benefit gets lost in its life cycle CO2 footprint, which can be even higher than conventional cars.
